About Beroe Abi

1. How will Abi ensure that the data that users share during the conversation (Incumbent supplier names, Spend Data, Sourcing locations etc.,) is not available for ChatGPT opensource?

  • Azure OpenAI and Beroe do NOT share or re-distribute user’s data to train ChatGPT models.

2. Will the search results implicate the user or the company in anyway?

  • No. They comply with applicable data protection laws, regulations, and best practices to safeguard your personal information i.e. – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Search results and chat conversations are kept confidential, and neither you nor the company that operates ChatGPT will be implicated in any way.
  • The Azure OpenAI API is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and has been audited by an independent third-party auditor against the 2017 Trust Services Criteria for Security.

3. Where is the chat data stored. How do you ensure that this data is not accessible to ChatGPT?

  • Azure OpenAI only retains data sent through the API for up to 30 days for abuse and monitoring purposes. It is never sold or used in any manner.
  • The chat content is stored on Azure OpenAI systems and its sub-processors’ systems Open AI may also send select portions of de-identified content to third-party contractors (subject to confidentiality and security obligations) safety purposes.The 30-day data retention policy also applies to all the sub-processors and contractors, post which the data is removed.
  • The data is stored only in data centres in Europe.
  • The Azure OpenAI API is only available over Transport Layer Security (TLS), and therefore customer-to-Azure OpenAI requests and responses are encrypted.

4. What Beroe data is available to ChatGPT?

  • Beroe data is not available to ChatGPT including the data used for modelling & training. It is only temporarily stored during processing and deleted once the trained model is ready. The trained data is hosted only on Beroe servers and not on Azure OpenAI servers.

5. How is the flow of Abi conversation with the introduction of ChatGPT? Is custom MI no longer required.

  • Abi conversation flow will continue to be a human + machine/ Human-In-The-Loop (HITL) interface. Custom MI services will be moderated via Abi based on the engagement terms with Beroe.

6. Can ChatGPT generate ready outputs?

  • You can interact with Abi powered by ChatGPT with any topics relevant to procurement/ sourcing & supply chain. Abi will provide you with the most relevant & actionable insights in the form of texts or PDFs (based on available structured data).

7. What are the limitations of Abi powered by ChatGPT?

  • We are still exploring the opportunities to expand Abi’s intuitiveness using ChatGPT.

Important Disclaimer: This version of Beroe’s digital assistant, Abi, is built on the GPT language model developed by Azure OpenAI. While Abi is getting smarter every day, sometimes it can provide irrelevant and inaccurate information. Secondly, Abi treats every question separately and does not remember the previous question and response at this time. Finally, while most of the answers provided by Abi are directly from Beroe’s Data Platform, GPT may sometimes respond to questions from publicly available data sources. Beroe does not have any control over such responses at this time.
